Bräuer Stalltechnik - Pioneer in free-farrowing

The new Bräuer free-farrowing box is now in offical evaluation according to THVO and meets the expections by the law regarding the fixation time of sows while also being easy to use, easy to maintain and offering maximum protection for piglets.

With ease the sow in the box can be locked in her cage without getting close to the animal like in other free-farrowing systems.

This guarantees safety for the user and less stress for the sows.

Other features of the Bräuer free farrowing box are deflection pipes to protect the piglets, an easy to operate nest for the piglets where they also can be locked in place for medical treatment and the easy maintenance and highly sanitary environment as the Bräuer farrowing box does not use any straw or other materials unlike other free-farrowing boxes.

The floor consists of a micture of piglet friendly plastic slotted floor while the sow is standing on a solid concrete plate for maximum heat transfer away from the sow and slip-free safety while moving or laying down.

In the manure area there is a solid iron-cast grate with easy to open stainless-steel slots for manure removal.

Compared to other free-farrowing systems the Bräuer free-farrowing box is the system that requires the least maintenance by the user while only being a little bit bigger in size than conventional farrowing boxes.
